Thats what I told my friend when he wanted my to install those in his rice. Oh gee, it looks like your boosting a 1psi because the gauge is off.

The M5OD isn't a very stout transmission... "IF" it were supercharged, I wouldn't count on that tranny lasting very long...

The transmission would be fine. That is not the weak point in the 5 spds. They are actually heavy duty transmissions. The only thing that slows them down is the hydraulic clutch and slave cylinder.

^^^^Ok, well then the parts that connect the trans to the motor and help operate the clutch aren't going to last very long...

you can use an boost gauge for a vacuum gauge also....and it never hurts to know if you have the proper Air/Fuel mixture.....you will see a change in your mix before your computer throws a CEL if something is starting to go out (ie: spark plug, MAF, O2 sensor, etc.)...

An air/fuel gauge can be used as a vacuum? I didn't know that. Air/fuel reads fuel mixture by taking readings from an O2 sensor or other bung on the exhaust side of the engine. Now the boost gauge on the other hand may be able to read vacuum, I'm not sure.
