what kind of products are you trying to get sponsored by?

it's pretty much a standard now that you gotta spend money to make money. take some time put money into your truck and get it lookin/ sounding nice enough to place in some local shows. then contact whoever you want to be sponsored by and say "look at me, i'm something worth putting money into".

... or you could always wish upon a star

Why are you looking to get sponsered? What are you going to offer the company that sponsers you? We sponser people all the time... Need more information to be able to answer your question with more details.

well, i have worked out sponsorships for myself through about... 4-5 companies...

it's all about what you can offer the company. is your truck something they can use for ads? will yours test something new of theirs? will yours do something others do not?

etc...

it's all about how you will benefit them. otherwise, why would they do anything for you...

i think there is also a commitment with most sponsors that you have to make it to a certain amount of local or out of town shows depending on how much free ish they throw at you. do you have that free time being in skool and all?

hmm thats some food for thought. it just every car show ive gone to i dont see to many tricked out rangers. and the ones that are arent that good - and from spending countless hours on the web parts for EDGEs are hard to come by - unless im lookin in the wrong place which doesnt suprise me. i saw an ranger that was sponsored by MTX Audio - that was pretty wild. i wish i could see those kind of trucks in the shows. even anywhere remotely like it.

there arent too many yellow rangers in my area - i think there is one older extended cab and one reg cab - i dont like to fit it - i want my ranger to stand out above the crowd -- even more than the yellow paint does. ive seen so many tricked out f150s and avalanches etc in my town - id like to throw a ranger in the running.

Right most shows are on the weekends.. However the shows are the fun part. It is the countless hours during the week to get the cars/trucks into the shows and look like they do. At the sounds of it you don't really have to much free time to put into your truck...

I don't mean to sound like your father, lord knows you're probably my age or a little older from the sounds of your schedule, but an education is going to be the most valuable thing you ever get. Don't sacrifice your grades or school time for your truck. It'll pay off in the long run.

That being said, get that spindle lift I just told you to get, get some 33x12.5 TSL Radials, and get some cool, unique looking rims, and that will be a good start to getting you into shows. Enter into a few of them to get a feel for it, and go from there as to what you want to do to your truck. The more tricked out it is, the better chance you'll have that people will want to give you free stuff!

it's definatly gonna take more than a bunch of autzone parts to get you show quality, i would start with the lift also, suspension and body... the higher you can get a midsize truck the more impressive. then i would shave as much as possible to set you apart from most lifted trucks. emblems handles get rid of stickers, shave the antenna. make it clean and smooth. dont worry about showing off that its a Ford, Ranger or Edge. the people who actually care will already know. you gotta work on the interior too. Paint the accents, maybe reline your headliner to match the exterior. A set of seat covers from WET OKOLE would set if off really nice

my freinds jeep club is sponsored by BFG now because they all went to the summit racing truck fest and get BIG discounts on tires as long as they go to 5 shows a year and have BFG stickers and tires (durr)

just go to shows and make yourself known, and if you win or place good send companys an email and they may sponsor you then

I worked for an import drag team and I would help find sponcers everyone in a while it pretty much like getting a job. You pretty much have to be your own pimp, and convince the sponcer that they would benifit by sponcering you. Much like a company would benifit by hireing you. The sponcership meeting/interveiw is much like a job interveiw. I pretty much always told potentional spncers that hey this race car or these race cars travel the country and millions of people will see it and the cars win races people notice that and want to be just like that so if they see your name on my car they just might give you a call and buy one of your products. The more benifit they can get from you the more you should get from them.

Taking your truck to a bunch of show like your local high school shows can be a good thing but if you are winning shows at a national level like the 4 wheel jamborees in Bloomsburg, Lima, Indi thats completely different. If 50,000 people are looking at your truck at Indi the sponcer should be paying up. Also look at all the pictures that go up on the internet, people see that.

I think it is easier to get a sponcer for a race car then it is a show truck.
