Your front wheels are rubbing against some piece of metal?

Unless you're talking about the front wheels area. I don't really understand why you say it cannot be breaks.

The front wheel bearing seals on 4WD Rangers sometimes make a squeak or kind of howling noise at low speeds. I don't know if 2WD does it. Mine usually does it after going off-road in dusty conditions. It then goes away after a while. I understand you can put a little grease on them to make it stop. I have never lubed them but if I did I would use a silicone spray that will dry out and not collect dirt.

Usually its the bearings. Starts out by constant squeak with rotation then followed by the howl of a banchie, then locking up and saying hello to the guard rail....

yeah from his description its the wheel bearings, when they lock up it can cause nasty accident if you have no idea what just happened.

If your truck is 2wd then the replacing the wheel bearings is cheap, but 4x4 is another story.

Could the tires be making the noise? Maybe the plies are coming apart and creaking.
Do you have beauty rings or any sort of hub cap? They can make noises.
Get a friend to walk along beside your truck in a parking lot as you drive slow.

Cant help you, but ive never heard a squeak from a wheel... might want to double check the brakes just in case... even if they arnt old... you caliper could be stuck and wear down the inside pad...
