Most people that have stuff they want to get rid of put it up in the classifieds section for sale and you can respond to the threads from there.

You have to admit Zach, the tie down anchors in the flareside are far better then what you get in the regular bed.

Its basically a looks and preference thing.

I'm sure there is people willing to trade you for beds. It can be done easily. Like 9 bolts and one wiring harness to undo.

my '04 is stepside, and the '93 i had before was regular bed. there was a couple of yrs between driving the two since i traded the first one for a car, then traded that car for my new truck, but it took some time to get use to the difference.
i like the look of my stepside better but im thinking i liked the regular bed i use to have a little better

eh idk, i like the closed loop design on the regular beds, but the flareside tie downs were nice.

Fleetside FTW. BFG M/T's or Goodyear MT/R's FTW. We have a classifieds section.

I too have the stepside and love the look over the fleetside. The biggest problem I have had is putting my quad in the bed. With the suspension and body lift it is a long way up and the front wheels just clear the tailgate rails, back wheels don't at the end of the day or after a long ride putting the quad in the bed was an exercise in it's own right. I ended up making a rack that sits in the bed just above the wheel wells and comes apart and fits behind the seats. With a cheap h/f winch attached, I just hook the cable up and pull it into the bed. It also makes a good quad recovery vehicle when someone breaks down.
I guess you adapt to make what you have work, I could have traded beds but to me the stepside is what makes my Ranger my truck.

Well the loops on the regs came on in 01 IIRC. The 99 reg beds that were on the lot when i was there just had the lame pockets and that was it.

Isnt the inside length the same? fleetside vs. stepside? It's only the inside width that's differnet as far as i know.

Yeah both are 6 foot boxes. Atleast on the extended cab. Only way to get the long bed(7 foot) is to get a regular cab.

Sounds like he needs a bed extender.
