Icon9 Still having dash light problems..

i'm still having an annoying issue of no dash lights (gauge cluster, 4x4, hvac, headlight switch). everytime i replace the fuse in the #1 fuse slot, it pops. i know the wire that runs the dash lights is the green/orange wire coming from the headlight switch. is there anyway i could cut this wire and tap it to something else? or just wire these lights to another source. i really dont want to take it into ford to get this fixed.
