saggy rear end
ok my truck has had the leifs rebuilt to factory bends accept with stronger metal. my truck still has a lower rear than a 2001+ ranger. its very anoying especialy when i compare rangers my front end is higher and looks good w/tbar crank but the rear is almost 1 1/2" lower!!! i was told by one of my friends that i can put a 2" block in the rear. was this a good sugestion b/c i was really thinking about it. its already leveled off with the t's.
and if its a good idea where are some good places to buy from that i wont spend much $$$ and how hard is it to do. can i do in my own driveway??
thanx

well, unless they were removed, you already have 2 inch blocks in the rear and you dont want to be stacking blocks. also blocks end up giving a lot more axle wrap and are really the worst way to lift the rear. if you want another inch and aa half or so in the rear go with the belltech 6400 shackles, although keep in mind you wont be able to lift your front up more to match it... are you sure yours really sits lower? have you measured from the center of the hub to the wheel well opening?

i sure its lower. my friend mike with the blue ranger u met at the meet and andrew they bolth had higher rear ends than mine. from the ground to top of the wheel well it sits 35" so does the front. but everyone had like 36 1/2" and just that alone i think makes it look better. i dont really care but i was wondering if there was a quick fix and yes it does have the 2" factory blocks in there.

I have the same problem. I have my t-bars cranked about 75% of max. My front is higher than the back, and I think the back got lower recently. I drive really crazy on the road and off and I think my t-bars and leafs got worn in a little. I have an 01 also. My friend just bought an 03 and his rear bumper is higher by as much as you have mentioned. I also have 31's where he's stock, not that 31's are much larger.
I'm going to put some extra springs into my current spring pack as soon as I get some time. I have a stock spring pack to take them out of.
Cranking the t-bars levers the rear of the truck down a little, not much, but i'm sure that's part of the equation. Also raising the front will put more weight to the back which could also put more tension on the leafs making it lower.

ya this pic is from before i cranked the t-bars, its now 35" all around. but if u look at bolth of our bumpers u can tell clearly that his is higher and i dont like it. tireiron also told me to get a extended shackel thingy for like 50$ or something and that could bring me up an inkc or so.

you could also go with some beltech chevy lowering shackles which are even easier to install.

also new/stiffer shocks wont give you lift, would be nice though
I say go with the shackels to keep the rear end ride quality

my shocks seem fine when i bounce it from the corners it takes 2 bounces to stop. i wana get some in the summer anyways i can feel every pebble in the road. my gf goes flying even w/her seatbelt on with the smallest bumps.
as for the weight the tow package should be only like 100 pounds at the very most i would think. but its the drivers side that bugs me the most because it sags like 1/2 - 1" lower than the passenger and i get new leif built on the drivers side to about 3 months ago.
the shackels look good but it look like id be rakeing the front by how long they are lol but it does look like they can be adjusted but if i put thoes on the drivers side will still be lower than the passanger. i wonder if it really is the shocks, i havent really seen a aname on them but they are black and it has a rubber boot on them dont know if they are the stock ones has no reccord of replacing shocks and it has 98K on miles.
