Stock vs Modded

Zach and myself were talkin about this.

What is your KBB price vs what you would want for your truck..

Good Conversation Thread

lifted97ranger 07-08-2007 09:36 AM

KBB: $6,685
NADA: $7,375

What i would take right now for it: $9,500

i would snag the title out of the safe faster than a horny fly on wet cow crap....

D. 07-08-2007 09:38 AM

I believe a 03 2wd edge with power-nothing is worth about 4grand?
Mine is not for sale.

REUBER 07-08-2007 09:41 AM

play along D. :(

mudranger96 07-08-2007 09:45 AM

KBB values mine about $12,000 but I have no intentions on selling it anytime soon. Unless I got an offer I couldnt resist.

REUBER 07-08-2007 09:49 AM

EDIT....

Just for thread purposes

Even if you wouldnt sell your rig for anything.....
What would you want for it if you did

jrpro130 07-08-2007 09:54 AM

Mine is KBB around 8500. I'd sell it for 10k and be happy, nothing below 10k. I know I couldn't sell it for even 7k. Which is why I'm running it until the wheels fall off. It's paid off...so I could care less...I'm riding out this no car payment thing as long as possible :)

FMD 07-08-2007 09:55 AM

Well for private party, its

KBB
Private Party: $15,260
Retail: $17,970
Trade in: $12,600

To sell the truck the way it sits, without taking anything off it, Id take private party value. Since the truck is in almost new like condition.

By the way, my balloon payment is $11,100

Strider0O0 07-08-2007 10:02 AM

besides Dave (because he stated all of them)... which values are you guys looking at... Suggested Retail, Trade-In, or Private Party??

ill have to look mine up in a minute and post all 3 values from kbb... then whatever from nada

REUBER 07-08-2007 10:07 AM

private party

Strider0O0 07-08-2007 10:15 AM

for my 2001.. here's my list from kbb

Private Party: $8425 (fair) to $10105 (excellent)
Trade In: $6300 (fair) to $8025 (excellent
Suggested Retail: $12305

I owe 5 grand on the truck still..

if i returned the truck to stock, i'd trade it in for $8000, and use the 3000 difference as a down payment for a bigger truck. i'd sell it as a private seller for $9000

if i left everything in it, i'd have to ask for at least $12000... that will never happen for two reasons... 1) no one would give me $12000 for my truck, lol.. 2) even at $12000, i'd be taking a loss on money invested in my audio system... so i'd never sell my truck with anything in it

GrafixGuy 07-08-2007 10:48 AM

Well you had to ask...

$19,500 KBB
$21,000 ME

Dont worry tho, I'm keeping my truck...

lone stock ranger 07-08-2007 10:59 AM

ouch for my 06 sport kbb said 16,900 and i am paying 20 for it. definately dont plan on getting rid of it any time soon. if i sold it it would have to be for 20

IR0NS1N 07-08-2007 11:12 AM

Private Party Value in "Good" condition is 14,380, Excellent is 15,315.
Trade-in value of good is 12,030 and excellent is 12,825.

Suggested retail value is 17,895 and I got it for ~18 I believe.

I owe ~ 11 on it. I really plan on trading it in for a Lancer Evo X in a few years.

From the dealer Id want a bit more due to the fact Ill probably have it Supercharged by then too.

DangaRanger99 07-08-2007 11:13 AM

Trade In KBB: $5925 Excellent
$5400 Good

Private Party KBB: $7665 Excellent
$7065 Good

Suggested Retail:

KBB: $9510
NADA: Low Retail $6775
Clean Retail $8025
High Retail $8825

If i could get $9,000 for it as it sits, with audio, wheels & tires etc ide be happy. I know that wont happen for many reasons one being its got 130,000 on the clock, hard to get inspected in New England states, whos going to pay 9k for a truck thats 8 years old, and even if someone was interested in it you cant pull a loan on it and not to many people have 9k laying around

Ushkie 07-08-2007 11:44 AM

dunno what mines worth but i dont think i even want to know lol

camodown 07-08-2007 11:47 AM

Last time I looked my truck up, it was like $12K give or take a little.

But I would sell mine for $30K, booyah......So that means I'm not selling it.

Fazda 07-08-2007 12:26 PM

KBB
Private parts $13,500
Retail $16,900
Trade in $11,200

I'd sell mine for $17,000 no less and use the money to buy a Lightning.

06fx4 L2 07-08-2007 12:41 PM

private party..

Excellent $20,705

Good $19,495

Fair $17,810

and if i was to sell it..

25k..
