Sudden exhaust difference?

Well, I dont know what forum to put this under.

I was driving and i stepped on it, it got to about 4k and i heard a clunk. I got off the gas and it ran fine and is still running fine but the exhaust is a lot quieter and deeper.

I have it dumped under the bed with no muffler and its always been very loud.

SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING LET GO IN THE CAT . .

unfortunately your truck is over the 1995 cut off, meaning your cat must actually work.. therefore, chances are, this will be expensive.

I think Joe may be on to something here. lol.

Your Baffle blew up.

Is it alright to drive? Could i cut the cat out, tear out the baffles and run it until i need it inspected again? Will I lose mpg with it as is?
