SL shaft is not included with the lift kit....it's seperate, just like the 'skid plate'. Right about $400 for it.

that's lame. what's the point? your lifting, your gonna need the longer driveshaft.

my used lift came with SL driveshaft,AALs,chevy shackels,and he replaced all the hardware with grade 9

Thats debatable. I got the shaft just in case, but there are some people that just keep the stock one and it does fine. Also, the RCD kit which actually lifts the front a little more, doesnt even have or recommend replacing the driveshaft

my stock shaft took a dump after about 5k on the kit. i didn't have my t30 socket, so.....tow truck!


oh....didthe measurements the other day....believe they were the following.....

superlift drops the diff approx 3 3/4"". RCD drops it by 4 9/16". All approx.

am i able to just go to a gm counter and buy chevy shackles? (shorry bout the thread jack.)

nope. (although, i wonder what running a stock chevy shackle would do for a ranger???)

the chevy shackles people get for rangers are aftermarket pieces...2" chevy DROP shackles, which actually LIFT a ranger....

The link above is to Belltech 6400 2" chevy drop shackles. I gained 1.5" of lift using those on my ranger.
