Yup, I'm swapping beds again.

This time, I'm trading mine for an '03 white flare side in perfect condition. Chris (Foxrider0102) needs a fleet side so he can run fiberglass bedsides (I think). But I have a few questions...

What all is going to be different? Will I have to modify anything from what I have now? Bumpers are different I've heard?

Other than all that, I'm freaking stoked! WoooO!

only thing that is different is the bumpers.......

you might have to shorten the gas tank filler hose.....

 

maybe gas filler length?

What about tail gates? Are they the same?

nope the tailgates are different.....the narrow bed tailgate is, well narrower.....

 

bumper and tailgate are different =]

 

TAIL lights with have a different config too

 

now you can buy that super heavy duty bumper that Travis had on his FX4.....

 

not.......stock tails are the same bed to bed........aftermarket tails are different for some reason though....

 

thats it i think... i dont think the fuel filler necks are different

I think there's some kind of difference. I know some guys talk about it when the do body lifts. I wouldn't know though.

The light config is different on flairside models, reverse lights are on the top,on the other there on the bottom, take a look at the flairside pictures

 

It weighs alot! It'd be expensive as hell to ship but I can if you want. It requires the stock hitch to mount up unless you wanna fab new mounts.

'02-'05 Rangers also had the reverse lights on the top......'01 had the reverse lights on the bottom....

Ford had different style taillights........
