Tail light compatibility
 

So im looking to buy some aftermarket LED taillights (specifically the lens) for my 2000 xlt, and I cannot find any that specifically say 2000 i found one i like that is for 2001-2011, i know there are differences but would that 2001-2011 one even fit mine? It is impossible to find one specifically for a 2000

The Ranger tail light Lens are the same 1993 thru 2011, interchangeable size wise, but......................
1993 thru 1999 have a separate turn signal bulb so have a yellow lens plus the red and white lens's

So 2000 thru 2011 will be best bet for your 2000
If you decide to get LED bulbs then you will also want to get an LED Flasher unit for turn signals, they work with LEDs or regular bulbs

2001-2011 will work for your 2000 since they both only have two bulbs, but you may have to stretch the wires as the reverse bulb socket is at the bottom on 2000, and at the top on 2001-2005. 2006-2011 will work as well, but the reverse light socket moved to the middle of the taillight, so might be the better option if you're okay with the look.

Something I just found out, but didn't know

The STX model/trim can have separate turn signal bulbs at the rear, after the 1999 change
So STX model may need to use an STX specific lens after 1999 or an older 1993-1999 lens

There was no STX after 97 or so, and it didn't resurge until 2006. The 2006+ STX used a Mazda bed and taillights (different style and fit than Ranger), so no Ranger swaps. But correct, the 06+ STX trim and 95?+ Mazda taillights had separate turn signals. They also changed the configuration of the lens at least once, as the 90's Mazda taillights and the STX/late 2000s taillights are arranged differently.
