Tailgate Light Bar out of the question?

My lock for my spare tire sits right where a tailgate light bar would go... so would this get in the way of a light bar?

This is a 1999 Ranger XLT

Do you have the light bar? It looks like it MIGHT be able to squeak by, but its hard to tell.

If you know the specific light bar that you are going to get, then see if you can get the dimensions from a website. Then measure and see if it will fit.

usually the light bars are screwed to mounts that stick to the truck so if u carry a screwdriver then u can remove it to get access.

True. You shouldnt have to access your spare too much.

The light bar I have comes in two pieces so you can leave a gap to still access your spare tire.

I dremel'd out a channel to fit it into, so I don't have to remove it. can get pics later, but basically rout out what you need to to get the spare rod thing in the hole.
