That's what everyone puts on their auctions because they just have no clue. All Ranger tail lights from 93 to 05 will fit into the opening......it's the harness and 2/3 bulb set-ups that changed.

As for black tails......go for these:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/93-97...61398829QQrdZ1
I wanted to go for these ones, but wasn't to sure on how bright the coloured bulbs would be. I have silver coloured amber bulbs in my corner lights, and they are not that bright during the day....or as visible.

or these:

Partial to these...I have'em.

or these:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/98-99...71508061QQrdZ1
Similar to the first ones, just with the coloured lenses.

or if you like the rivot look:

you have 2 LIGHTS in your harness your an 02 earlier models i think of 00 BACK are 3 bulb harness but anything with 2 or three bulbs will fit..the tailights are identical the 3 bulb ones it takes 5$ at autozone for the plug and you can tap into your other one if you feel the need..of you buy a 2 plug one for a 01 + ranger and it will fit fine..flareside, style side its all the same crap think ford would really put 2 diff kinds of lights on rangers to royally screw things up? i even called ford like i had told you before and the part numbers are identical..so no worries man jsut find something you like and if you need help wiring a third bulb in if required let one of us know we'll show you what to do! any questions ask
