Advertising tips
I have a Ranger for sale. I just spent $65 to put an ad in the paper and I'm not hardly getting any calls. I have it listed under the NADA and it's one heck of a deal.
Has anyone here had any luck selling their car or truck on e-Bay?
I'm looking for a Ranger with a 2.3 DOHC and 5-speed is there anyone that would like to trade?

Ditto on the pictures. I won't even look at an ad without them. Be advised that Craigslist only will upload four shots but it is possible to upload several more if you'll use Imagenerd.com or a similar picture hosting website. Imagenerd is free and I was able to end up with about a dozen photos in my Craigslist ad by posting the Imagenerd code in the appropriate places. Be sure to leave an empty line between each line of code so your pictures have a little framing to them.
You need to include in your text everything that somebody might want to know about your truck. Otherwise be prepared to answer the phone to answer questions that could have been answered within the ad.
I sold my father's Buick in less than a week using Craigslist.

Here's an ad for a boat i sold a couple weeks ago. I got my full asking price within a week in this crappy boat market. This boat was listed for a little bit more than the other 171's on craigslist and mine sold way before the others. The ad is a bit long but it gives the potential buyer everything he or she needs to know and it really helps filter out the "tire kickers".
I am selling my 1997 Mako 171 center console with a 1999 Evinrude Ficht 115. Being a fuel injected motor, it never smokes or has that harsh two stroke smell. Starts up every time and has never left me stranded. This boat is in excellent condition and you will not find anything better in this price range. The boat includes: two batteries, new vhf, Lowrance GPS/fish finder/ chart plotter, and anchor. The boat is already prewired with 4 clarion speakers and just needs a head unit. The Mako 171 is one of the biggest and most well equipped boats in its class, you don't get those plastic hatches on this boat like those other brands are built with. It has the big boat feel with the small boat costs and can be towed with any vehicle; compact truck, van, or suv . This boat can handle chop very well, when it's 3-5ft I am almost always the smallest boat out there. This will make the perfect boat for the first time boat owner that wants to spend quality time with their family on the water or the avid fisherman. Email with any inquiries or questions. Thanks for looking.
Boat features: trim tabs, a t-top, two pedestal seats, bow rail, rod holders, deck lighting, baitwell, swim ladder, anchor locker, organized lure locker, and a huge fish box.
Boat includes: The 2004 galvanized EZ loader trailer, two batteries, new vhf, Lowrance GPS/fish finder/ chart plotter, anchor, life jackets, and all safety equipment the USCG requires.
