Taboo I believe it's called.
Very disturbing.
Do you pet yours and tuck it in at night?
Give it kisses?
Of course.

Driveline thunk.

Torsion bars.

Lack of diesel.

Lack of 4 true doors.

Lack of dual tanks.

Lack of aftermarket support.

Basically everything that the Tacoma has (minus the diesel motor and dual tanks).

Electronic shift transfercase.

Damn rivets that Ford used to hold the hole truck together.

Boat anchor 8.8 28 spline axle that is basically a 7.5 hybrid.

Drum brakes.

Torsion bars are _just_ stretched out coil springs.
A _MODERN_ diesel would be nice, a MODERN TURBO DIESEL would be NICER.
4 doors...??? Ustawas a 4dr was the sign of a kid driving their parents car... if it's a toy, two doors are more than enough, if it's a 4dr family car, it's an appliance. (i do wish my ext cab had the half doors anyway.)
2nd tank? Get a Bronco II tank and plumb it in.
aftermarket support what can I say, except most Exploder parts will work.
rivets?, Rivets??,RIVETS??? Is this another Budwiser commercial???
Get a 9 incher (like my 66 Bronco pickup)
Drum brakes... take them off. rear brakes are for parking only.

Bobzilla (pleaz doan **** him off)

Its called learning...Most of the work I did on my ranger was repairing stuff I broke while trying to fix something else....But Id rather learn the hard way on a ranger than on an expensive import or race car.

No, but I have hugged it a few times after it got me out of a situation/saved my life

I hate that my truck wont fix itself like Christine...Its depressing to go out in my garage and see it all smashed up, knowing I cant do anything to it until I get the go ahead from my lawyer.

I hate that my ranger has so much potential, but my pockets arent deep enough to make it reality.

Other than that...I cant think of one thing I dont like about my truck that I wouldnt have to deal with with any other vehicle of equal age or newer. (heatercore is much more of a PITA than it should be, but I think almost all cars 90's and up you have to take out the dash to replace it)

I like my truck. But one thing I don't like is driving it in wet weather. I'm sick of spinning my ******* wheels at every launch, doesn't matter how tenderly I press the skinny pedal, or what tires I have on the rear end. Its just too light back there. O and whats with people wanting 4 doors on a truck? Have ya'll seen how much bedspace is in a 4 door tacoma? Its like 5 feet long, you couldn't haul much of anything back there.Theres a short bed double cab tacoma in my town, the owner put a tool box back there. I think they have like less than three feet of bed space now...its ridiculous, not even a truck anymore..whats the point.

I would also like about 30 more hp in my Ranger...: )

Lack of 4 full doors is the reason why I probably will never buy another Ranger.

The one wheel peel in winter. But a LS 8.8" will help that next year.

Not many complaints here, pristine '03, paid off, only 60k miles, 4x4, super cab, sits in the garage most of the time, maybe 5k miles a year, easy to work on, will probably last for many years to come....and yea, I've owned 4 of them since I was 16 and no major issues except regular maintenance and like was said before, stuff that goes wrong with any other vehicle.

Kinda a shame they're not updating the Ranger and continuing production here in the U.S. but thats the way it is.

As far as being a great vehicle, there is no question I love my Ranger and have owned four of them since ‘90 and will always want one but with the elimination of the Ranger as a TRUCK this one will probably be my last !
Do any pickups come with a solid axel anymore? For a daily driver I do not think I would want a solid axel up front. It was a big deal when they came out with independent suspension fronts in the 70's-80's
