Exterior *Edge Front bumper *Edge Hood or cowl hood *Rool pan *5% tint all the way around can't really think of anything else.. o yeah i'm still looking for some 3.73 gears |
Do not cut the coils, that will ruin them. Also not sure how much removing a leaf will make your ride suffer.
Well with a 2.3L you will need whatever hp you can muster. I'd say a 87/89 performance program and a 93 performance and whatever other program. Does someone make a cam for the 2.3 and are there adjustable timing gears available? |
Agreed on the coils -- do NOT cut them. You can lose 1/2" to 3/4" by eliminating the thick overload spring in the rear, but taking the main leaves out is probably not going to work for you very well. If you take out the overload, do NOT haul heavy stuff.

for the rear i'v got a set of explorer springs i was thinking about switching over to the stiffer spring so i could take some out....i'm not to sure how i'm going to do it yet thou...but i'm forsure going to get a chip....and yes they make cams for the 2.3 http://www.esslingerracing.com/catalog/contents.htm

Axle flip would be good long term if you're serious. You may need to change over the center bolt on the explorer pack to use it -- but you'll be taking it out to remove the leaf anyway.
Well, it's an experiment, I guess. I've done my share of those -- good luck with it. |
Sounds cool.....
Its funny that you went in a totally different direction then you were going...lol |

Also, removing the overload leaf is ok, my friend has a 2K ranger and only has one leaf, bewarae though the ride sucks with one leaf. I recommend shackle flip, it costs about a days of work and 10 bucks. You will like it lowered, I garuntee it. If you do bag it, some tracks do not permit the use of air suspension at the track, fyi. |

However, I'm sure someone makes performance cams for the Duratec 2.3L since it is used in vehicles other than the Ranger. |
i'm probaLLY just going to bag the rear and drop the front about an inch or 2...but i honestly never thought about the track not letting u run but i guess if u don't paly with them then they might not care i'm probally just going to cut 2 inch's off the spring or 2 coils something like that i'm probally just gonna bag the rear
