Nope this was a bare bones truck besides power windows/lock. One of the previous owners added in the cruise control and now I added the tilt. With ford if you wanted tilt or cruise it came with the other.

My other truck had tilt and all my other ones do. I realized how much I loved it when I didn't have it in this truck. Swap was stupid easy and if you didn't goof off at all. It would take less then an hour to do.

Any 98+ will work. I got my online. It's hard to find a tilt steering for a manual truck. Bunch for auto's though.

Umm i'm about 100% sure Brian was being sarcastic lol. Your truck would probably be dead before the tilt mechanics wore out.

Good lol.

Not hard at all. It'll be even easier on your truck. Biggest thing is swapping your ignition if its a chipped key. Otherwise its a strait swap. For mine I had a 01 column and I had to swap over the wiring harness and a few other things on it for it to work right.

good job dam ive been wanting to do this since i bought my truck. What all did you need just a steering column and the lower plastic trim piece? I broke the steering column in my car, i may pick up one for the truck aswell when i head to the jy for it.

EDIT:not to thread jack but does anyone know if a pats steering column will work in a non-pats truck i dont have pats and dont know how common non-pats colums are and will it matter if the donner truck had or didnt have cruise i dont have cruise
