Timing

My car wot start. I checked spark and fuel and they are both good. It cranks but won't start. Changed my cam shaft sensor and synchro a few weeks ago and felt around back there and the hold down bolt and sensor were loose. So I think my timing may be off.
I know I have to get the #1cylender to tdc I have the camshaft tool, I just don't know where to set the tab inside the synchro once the cylinder is at tdc.
it has a halls/3wire sensor.

Sorry I missed this

Spay gasoline or Quick Start(ether) into the engine, called a 50/50 test
See if it starts
If it starts and dies then you have a fuel delivery issue
If it doesn't start then its a spark issue
50/50

50/50 is the ONLY way you can check spark and fuel
Testing with a spark tester doesn't tell you if spark is at the right time.........................
Fuel pressure doesn't mean injectors are opening..........................

Out of position Cam sensor won't cause a no start on the 4.0l OHV engine, the crank sensor is the main sensor on these engines

You have the 2 wire version of the Cam sensor in a 1999, previous years used 3 wire but I think timing was done the same
