Tire Lock Up

Just started having issues with my 1994 Ranger. The rear passenger wheel seems like it wants to lock up but not quite. On the inside back of the drum it looks like it’s leaking fluid of some sort and has a nasty smell. Wondering what it could be ?

If a wheel cylinder is leaking it'll contaminate the shoe material and they get sticky. Brake fluid leaking is not good! If it's an axle seal that'll mess things up too. Gear oil has a nasty smell.

Check your brake fluid level in Master cylinder!!!!
If it has gone down then the slave/wheel cylinder on that wheel is leaking and needs to be changed
The shoes are also ruined by this fluid or oil if its the axle seal, so will need to be replaced

In any event its best to do both rear wheels with new shoes and slaves when one side has a problem
