Today was Doorpanel Dynamatt day! (pics)

Check out the install so far. I spent 6 hours working on the door panels and the door inner sheetmetal. I used a product called "second skin damplifier pro". Spent 324$ on 80 sq feet of the stuff.

This easily doubled the weight of the door panels. They feel so solid now. I cut the foam with scissors so I could reach nearly every bit of naked plastic. I used duct over the foam where I cut it to keep it on one place.

Here is how we started...

This is how we finished...

I also did the drivers side door sheetmetal but it was too cold to do the passengers side, hard to install this stuff outside when my fingers are freezing. I still have some more work to do tomorrow on it. The goal is to have the doors completely done by Monday night.

cool, I wanna do this to my 07, I'd like to have a more solid feel, I'd go ahead and do the floor b/c I heard it eliminates a lot of road noise...

Go spend 324$ on second skin like I did. I expect on purchasing another 324$ worth though. Its 80 sq ft for 324$ shipped. I should have bought the 160 sq ft for 550$ but I was trying to see how far 80 sq ft will get me. I'm doing the entire truck with this stuff.

I did my floor in September, I have waited until today to finish. I took a coworker to pick up his car (he was having it detailed) and I was told by him. "You know your truck is really quiet for a ranger" - I presume it will be MUCH quieter as soon as I have the doors and everything else in the cab to match the floor.

PS: I like the WRC avatar much more. Since I drive an Evo, I'm down with WRC.

If you get a rattle, you either put something back wrong or broke something taking it apart.
