man, LONG last couple of days with the truck
started thursday, my power steering went out. i had plans on thursday night to flush the radiator, change my oil, change my rotors/pads, change front and rear diff, and maybe flush the tranny. i just added the power steering to the list.
tore my truck apart that night, pulled the power steering pump on saturday, and then got started on all the work sunday. replaced the power steering, brakes, radiator, and front/rear diff fluid. i new of the trouble of my rear brakes and my cv boot being cracked, but i only had so much time. got it done, and it was going great.
monday i picked up a cv boot quickboot, and was ready to replace it, and i stopped to get a balance, rotation, and allignment that night too....i was told that i cant balance my front two tires because they are cupped, and worn down. they will do it once i buy two more 33x12.50x15 BFG MT's. BASTARDS! on my way home, my power steering started leaking tranny fluid ALL OVER my motor....it was from a bad o-ring on my new power steering pump.
took it to the shop on tuesday am, they replaced the o-ring, replaced both inner and outer cv boots, and my rear brakes. that was $379
two new tires installed $430
all the stuff to do the above mentioned work on sunday was close to $400!!!
OVER A GRAND IN 4 DAYS!!!!!!!
i would have changed it a couple of weeks ago, if i new this was all going to happen. the only reason i cant, is that my interior is still half way out of the truck due to the conversion to black
sorry for my rant and raving....soon the truck will be back together, and there will be NO 4wheelin for a while!!!!

The tire place tried getting me to buy 2 new tires also but i said "umm no, im not stupid, balance and damn things right or i will be back" they balanced them, still shook, so i had to go back and make them do it again...both times they wrote "Tires worn badly ..." on the receipts....

Sucks not havin your truck, mines in the bodyshop now getting the vandalism fixed.
Drivin a " Killed In Action " Sorento
Rides pretty good for a KIA, peppy thing and almost as much room as the ranger for carrying my tools, seats are more comfy, AC ain't as cold, the semi auto slap stick is cool, stereo sucks, sucks on washboard and what a friggin pig on gas, drinkin double what my Ranger does.
And I do over 100 K a day, so I'm really noticing it
Man, they are hoping they get it done for Friday...But with the humidity, when I drove by tonight the painter is doing all the painting at night
Keepin fingers crossed, going camping this weekend and don't want to take this gas guzzlin KIA
