frame engaging lift points?

where are the proper lift points on our trucks when using a frame engaging lift? We have a book in class that shows the lift points but its not right i could never get the mazda to balance properly on it so i never used it.I had my new truck down there tonight and one of my assignments was to demonstrate how to use the lift where the book shows is on the frame inline with the transmisson bellhousing but my tbars are in the way and i doubt its telling me to lift from the tbars

i think i may just take the pontiac down there for the assignment much easyier to lift plus i need it in the air to check the tranny fluid anyways

i just use the lift points around the front of the doors on the frame (it seems like a pretty obvious lift point ii think) and the front leaf spring hangers on the rear of the truck. ive used those areas multiple times and thats all i could figure out. truck lifts a lil crooked but it works best.
