Is your Ranger a stick?

Hey all. The title says it all, vote yes or no in the poll. "Is your ranger a stick?"

This is a side question, who taught you how to drive stick? For me, my dad....and it was an adventure. :)

"Stick" as in manual transmission.

I was taught on two different trucks. I learned the basics on an 83 F100 and a 94 F150. Then, I actually drove one on a daily basis on my 94' Ranger 2.3; 5-speed

I don't have a ranger anymore but I think I was 50/50 over the years on sticks and autos.

I taught myself to drive a stick. No one in my family had a stick anymore growing up. I bought my 88 ranger when I was 15 and had no idea how to drive a stick. when I turned 16 and got my license, I got home from the test and grabbed my keys, then I hit the road.

I learned in a 74 Ford Courier when I was 7. Been driving nothing but sticks ever since. I think the only autotragic that i'll ever have will be a 2012 F150.

Mine's a stick of course

My dad took me out for like a hour to practice on his 81' accord the next day we bought me a 75' PINTO and the first time I went up hill and had to stop at a light my mom was in care I remember freaking out because I tought I'd hit the guy behind me. My mom said she'd do it and Iwas wicked embarassed.

My Dad learned when He was 14. My Grandpa took him to Duluth (which is like San Fransisco with hills) and parked the car on one of these hills. set the parling brake, and swapped seats with my Dad. Talk about sinking or swimming.

Haha. The worst thing about learning stick was getting stuck on a hill then stalling it...I was super afraid of hitting the person in back of me. Now I am fine, but when I was learning it was a scary experience.

^^lol

been driving manuals ever since I can remember. Earliest memory driving a clutch is the late 40's/early 50's John Deere M when I was like 5. The lawn mower about the same age and driving the '50 chev pickup at like 7.

I learned from my dad in a 69 F100 (three on the tree). The floor mounted shift method is much more natural, in my opinion.
