Alright that makes more sence! I was not understanding why a bomb company would have a government mustang!

Pics? Proof? Getting any mustang up to 200 mph would be a feat without it taking off, no matter how much suspension and engine work are into it. Along with the fact that "your friend" probably has nowhere near the skill required to keep a car steady at that speed.

Edit: For the amount of money they'd have to put into mods and labor, the very financially minded government officials would just buy a vette.

Nascar cars are built from the ground up to do those speeds. A mustang is built from the ground up to be an affordable semi well performing passenger car. The only similarity between the two is that they're powered by a V8 and they have four wheels.

Edit- And you're saying your friend got to test drive this thing with so little oversight that he got it up to 200 mph, but you can't manage to take a few pictures? Bull. Taking it to PMs.

And to be on topic- My four banger stops accelerating at about 80-85 in 5th gear on a nice day. Add wind, rain, snow, any adverse weather condition to the equation and that goes down to 65-75ish depending.

You're owning yourself. PM'd. I'm outta this thread unless it's something constructive.

Edit: Quoting this before you delete it.

maybe it was 200kmph. that sounds more reasonable haha. 200mph on a company car that doesn't specialize in auto tuning sounds kinda bs to me. and also why would the government approve the need to spend money modifying a mustang for speed purposes? 200 mph is not an easy task to achieve.

haha, my old '88 ranger had a crap issue when it came to horrendous wind, rain, and flying on teh highway.. I literally had problems getting up to 65 on it, 2.3L 4 banger.. running soem little tires, but i was driving into a 35-40 MPH wind and it was a heck of a nasty day... I literally had to hop behind cars just to get enough speed back up to pass people.. was sort of fun, felt like I was in a racing car workign with drag and drift to pass people... at 60mph.. lol
