Torsion lift or Body lift
i have a 2011 ranger rwd sport 4.0 and i have 3 choices i need help with whats better. Since i have stabilitrack and torsion bar suspension im limited to lift kit options. 1st option is crank my stock keys to 1 or 2 inches put on 15x7 wheels and 32 in tires. 2nd option wulf 3inch full lift kit (torsion key with shocks u bolts, rear blocks) with 15x8 wheels & 32 or 33 inch tires. 3rd Option is 3inch body lift from performance acessories.com . what should i do? i dont plan on offroading, only want my truck to look cool

Hey bro! We got the same truck! Im actually installing the wulf 3 inch kit next thursday i can tell you what i think whenever i do it. So the thing about suspension lifts is that itll definitely wear your suspension components a lot faster than normal, but if your like me you love working on your truck so... Body lifts wont mess with your suspension but sometimes youll tow package will stick down a little. One thing too, if you dont need the stabilitrak you can always pull the abs fuse but idk it doesn't seem like the best idea.

I am not a fan of body lifts. It exposes stuff underneath that looks strange in my opinion. I just did a 1.5" torsion bar lift which gives more ground clearance and allows me to install 33" tires that give me even more ground clearance. I don't do it for looks, I do it for off-road capability.
If you do go with the torsion bar lift, anything much over 1.5" will cause more strain on the front suspension components and if you go far enough your ride quality will suffer. I have almost 269K miles on my Ranger with the 1.5" t-bar lift since when near new and I have had no out of the ordinary maintenance on the front suspension. In fact, the ball joints have lasted longer than he ones on many Rangers. |
thatd be great! yeah let me know how it goes.
