Hey guys, I haven't been on here forever. I haven't done anything to the Ranger in ages. Most of you probably don't remember me either. But I had got a 88 Mustang T-tops I've been restoring so I've been over on mustangfourms a lot.

Anyways, a guy I know is selling a 97 Ranger he got on a trade. I was wondering what you guys thing its worth? I offerend him my 96 Suzuki Katana (needs a bit of work) and 1k, but he said 2k and the katana. That'd be like giving the katana away because I've got a friend who will buy it for 1500, but he won't have the money until the summer. Anyways, what would you offer for the truck

(yeah I know, it's kind of hard to read it. But that's not my concern) Oh, and the seats, Are custom bucket seats. I haven't seen the interior yet, but I guess parts of it have been painted orange for a custom look.

walk away. i couldn't read half of that ad. your bud doesn't care about looks but wants to take you bike and more cash. like you said. you could take your bike, sell to the other buddy who would give you what you want and build a nicer truck for that 2500 or very little more.

that is what i would do anyways.

 

That truck is def. not worth $3k in my opinion. I wouldn't pay more than $2k for it and even then I think that's a little high.

 

It would take at least 700 for the parts to do all that work. Then I have no idea on the cost of seats. Then rims and tires, I'd probably be looking at 1500 in parts alone if I just built it myself. Then the cost of the truck. I'm wanting a 95 or newer because it has the updated interior, with gray interior, 4cyl 5spd. Which around here I can't find any that meet that that don't have around 200k on it or isn't over 2k. Which that truck only has I believe 125k on it. The reason I thought it would be worth maybe $2500 is because it's got all the stuff done I'd want to do. It does need paint, but I can do it myself for about $200.

But yeah, anyways, keep the opinions coming please. But don't just judge the add by his spelling...

And if it was painted, how much would you guys say it's worth?

 

i'm judging on the ad's spelling and grammer, if he took his time to spellcheck, it might sell quicker. also the truck looks half assed. he got it in a trade, so the guy who traded it away didn't want it anymore for a whatever reason and traded it to him.
you say that "custom seats" are expensive. a co-woker bought a ranger that was lowered and the guy slapped SVT badges on it. granted the truck is nice, but all he seemed to do was lower it and swap a exploder dash and some leathers which could have been picked up for $200 for everything. seats, dash and a matching carpet.

like i said, you can find better out there or even build your own for that price.
