Tow Hooks

I have a 4X2 so tow hooks don't come factory with my truck (but the holes do), so I went down to Ford and bought some. Now I have them but I don't know what way to put them on because it has a P shape. So can you 4X4s tell me if the flat side is on the outside or the inside. They could go on either way so that why I need your help. Thanks

on stock, the flat size is on the inside

I took have a 2wd...bought hooks and installed them...but I'm not sure what you're talking about.

it dont matter. when u install a waag bar you gotta flip flop them from one side to the other, and they install fine, so i say it doesnt matter.
