issue with LED turn signals

issue with LED turn signals
got some ebay special LED turn signals.
and got the electronic flasher so it doesn't hyperflash.
but now when the lights are off and i use one of the turn signals, the other side will dimly flash along with the other side. and vice versa. but when the lights are on there aren't any problems. not sure what the deal is..
the flasher?

Use the VLEDs flasher. People always say "they are all the same" but time after time I see posts like this and you can tell that they are not.
On a side note - how many LEDs do you have? Are your running lights and front signals also LED? When you convert all (or nearly all) of the exterior lighting you may need to non-polarized resistance to the running lights circuit to handle backfeed that comes from the way the system is designed.

try this with alligator clips and see if it works for you.

There is probably a smarter way to fix this, I just haven't figured it out yet.
I was thinking of putting a diode backwards in parallel with the running light circuit and putting a large resistance on it. I don't know yet as there are risks with experimenting with this.
I had a similar problem with my IX, as the active center differential used 1V on the brake circuit and I had to make sure to account for this.
If you only have every bulb except the frontal amber's then there is plenty of room for current to flow back through those. Jeez, on my 04 I ONLY had the factory cluster bulbs and I still had no problems.
It's not that hard of a problem to solve, there are better ways to fix it then I did. My method was simple and it worked perfectly though.

I would the think the diode would need to be ground side in series.
I suppose a zener diode would work in the method you are thinking.

I'm not an EE, you may be right but to be honest its a tad over my head as of now for me to make a useful comment on your idea.

That's odd, I'm having a similar issue...
I just modded some 01 tail lights with 55x 5mm red leds in the lower reflector area & now my 3rd brake light sometimes blinks with both turn signals when I have the parking lights on.
I'm thinking about adding a 12v-14v zener diode to each tail light to see if it eliminates the feedback.
I used to run 63 led 3157 bulbs for turn signals in the rear, but I just switched those bulbs to the brake lights... never had any issue like that before.

VLEDs flasher is the only choice.
The TRIDON flasher available at stores like autozone and murrays is no good.

It's for people who have more extravagant LED setups.
All running lamps, clusters, signals/brakes....ect..

After some experimenting, I found that if I replace my 63 led bulbs in the tails with the old 3157 incandescent bulbs, everything works as it should.
Either my 63 led bulbs are leaking voltage back when the headlights/running lights are on or as Jp7 mentioned, the ep27 flasher I have was a cheaper one.
Haven't had time to experiment further & vleds has been out of their flasher for weeks, so I haven't been able to do much more.
Another idea I had was to install an incandescent bulb (dual filament) behind the tail lights along with the led bulbs I have to see if that helps or hurts.
