New Cylinder Head

Dealer talked to me today ... when they pulled the heads they found a crack. He said they had trouble finding a replacement cylinder head, but found a company that is making new cylinder heads for the 2.9L V6 .. so they bought a new one? He says everything on the upper half of the engine will be new. Sound right to you engine guys?

The only problem when replacing the upper half of the engine is it could place a lot of strain on the lower half, shortening the lower half's useful lifespan. How many miles on it again?

I'd ask em to put a 5.0 in it. That's just me.

It has at least 108,000 miles, unless its flipper the odometer twice and then its 208,000. I don't think I have many options, the warranty covers the engine for the first 1000 miiles or 30 days, so the dealership has to fix it, but I believe the repair is at their choice, not mine.
