My 1990 XLT I just purchased is missing the driver side door lock ****. While it's not a huge deal I'd like to just replace it. Google is super unhelpful in finding the part. Everything it suggests, once I go to the site it is on, and plug in the vehicle's details, say it's not a fit. Is this just because there's a year cutoff these checkers have, or are they really this hard to find? O_o

 

Are you talking about the pull pin by where you would rest your elbow with the window down? (Or something power lock related for XLT?) If so, they just screw on and off, and you can find replacements on numerous Ford models from the '80s and '90s.

I had a part # and compatible model/year list, but I think I deleted it after finding replacements for mine that was broken... It wasn't the easiest thing to find where it's listed on RockAuto and other sites.
