Bed Tent Owners

Any chance a bed tent would work with a tonneau cover? Here's a picture of it rolled up

Yes it will work, all the straps (2 on each side if I remember) go down the bedsides.

I have one (Bed Tent) if anyone is interested by the way. Its Blue and Grey. Bought it for the 99 I had. Never even used it because I ended up buying a camper shell.

How much do you want for it? What model is it? I've been looking for one, so I'll take it if its in good condition.

I'll take $50 plus shipping. Its for a short bed ranger...I do remember that...lol I dont remember who makes it. I will look when I get home to see who makes it and I will also take some pics of it. Its in great shape, only set it up once just to see what it looked like in the truck...but then I got a bonus check and bought a camper shell, so its been sitting on a shelf since then.

as for the question at hand, it will work but you wont be able to put it over the front of your bed as easy, which means it wont be as good in rainy weather. Id suggest tarping the front so most of the water runs into the space between the bed and cab if you do go camping in adverse weather.

Edit: I may possibly go camping this weekend so i can take more close ups to show you what i mean bout the front

i dont believe so, its possible this would fit loosely anyways cause you can pull the straps pretty tight

i wouldnt reccomend sleeping more than 1 person in a flareside though.

I can always pull the cover off so I can get it over the front too. I'm going to work on a quick release system so i can take it off quicker, it should be really easy to do. Just some wing nuts and away it goes.

yea your best bet would be to take it off, but its not gonna rain the tent will still work just be a lil loose around the tailgate.

These tents are pretty sick. I am thinkin about picking one up that hooks onto my camper shell so I sleep in the bed of the truck but have room outside for all the other stuff.
