One, has anyone ever removed the leather from their leather wrapped steering wheel? The leather on mine is in bad shape. it seems that if it is truely "leather wrapped" that there is just a regular steering wheel underneath.

Two, is there a problem with laying the factory jack on it's side for storage (ie too much grease will run out making the internals rust). I am thinking of moving it to another storage location.

 

Good question about the steering wheel. Mine is starting to get soft in places.

About the jack, it'll be fine wherever. Mine lays in the bed of my truck most of the time, on its side, out in the elements.

The leather on mine is getting worn in spots on it, most of the grain texture is gone, and it is starting to do the typical Ford behavior of loosening up around the supports.
