Urgent! Need Help ion lift Kit

When it says drill out bushing, which one are they talking about.

The front radiator or the front cab?

Please help

P.S. PA instructions suck ass

05RangerXLT 07-23-2007 04:49 PM

I believe they are talking about the front most mount (the one on each side of the radiator). I had to do that to mine if your talking about the PA 3" BL.

It's all good. Make sure you use the exact size drill bit they say.

I just tightened them nice and tight with my hand, on the end of a 18inch wrench. They have not loosened in almost 1 year.

I put 70Ft LBS so they should be good. I'll upload some pictures of the first day.... 9 hours today + tomorrow still...

Pixels2000Ranger 07-24-2007 08:06 AM

Nope Finishing The Bed Today!!!!!!! WISH ME LUCK NEED TO GET IT DONE!!!!!

EDIT: BED INSTEAD OF CAB :P

05RangerXLT 07-24-2007 11:25 AM

You did the bed first?!? You took the easy way out brother!

jrpro130 07-24-2007 12:53 PM

Yea, I just cut off the threads on the bushings on kevins and victors truck. So much easier than drilling (unless you have a drill press it's impossible).

A tip with the cab is oging to be the heat...heat up the cab bolts from the bottom (under the truck) to melt the loctite or you will have a hard time getting them off. Use an impact to make it easier too.

We didn't have a drill press though, but thanks for the tip!!!

I'll have to try that next time.

For kevins we did it in the parking lot of his townhouse, and vics there was no excuse...mine was done w/ a drill press...

zabeard 07-24-2007 01:29 PM

well like a pair of vice grips and a normal drill should work fine.

Pixels2000Ranger 07-24-2007 02:46 PM

No did the cab first..... then the bed... Spacers are in. Working on all the other little **** to put it back together....

Interior is all done clean and put back in, now on the out side I have to finish

JoshK 07-24-2007 05:31 PM

Are you doing this by your self?

05RangerXLT 07-24-2007 05:46 PM

I did mine by myself, without and impact or torch! I ended up using a 18" breaker bar and putting a plumbers wrench wedged with the frame to hold the bottom bushing from spinning. I had fun!
