Front drivers side wheel/tire sit's in farther than the passenger side?
I just noticed that the drivers side wheel/tire sets farther back inside the fender than the passenger side does...
The truck drivers great, doesnt pull, goes down the interstate straight, nothing adnormal at all.
I took a piece of string and ran it from the front of the fender to the rear of the fender, with the wheels straight the passenger side tire comes within an inch of the string. The driver sides is about 3 inches from the string...
The truck passed inspect at the strickest place in town, they like to fail things and spend a good deal of time looking for issues they can fix.
At this point I really dont think the frame or suspension is damaged, I think it might be the front clipped misaligned.
Heres some pictures, a couple pictures, i was going to take more but my battery died.
Passenger side, looks normal..

The gap between the fender and door on the passenger side looks different from the drivers, it may just be the angle of the pictures though. I would check the core support also called the radiator support for rust around the body mounts, also check to make sure they arent loose. Judging by the rust on the fenders you may have a rusted out core support and thats letting the body move around.

My uncle owned the truck before me, he bought the truck with grill messed up from an older man...
It was my uncles daily driver for about a year before the transmission went out, I then bought it from him because he didnt want to mess with it...
I have the truck for a couple months now and it drivers great, but a few days ago I happen to notice that the drivers side tire sets in furture than the passenger side does...
So I ran a piece of tape across the fender opening (from body line to body line) and measure from the tape to the center of the tire.
The passenger side was pretty much flush, within a 1/4 or so...
The drivers side was about 3" in... WHAT THE F*CK????

Then so I looked under the truck from bent parts, and.....
Bottom of the core support...
The front clip Body Mount on the Drivers Side...
Core support on the drivers side, headlight hole area.
Thats about all the damage I can find...
So it looks like it would need a need a core support, new mounts, and new grill to fix right... Or, just loosen the bolts and see if I can move it over any, replace the grill, rhino line the 1/4 panels/lower body line down, get some 15" explorer rims with the biggest tires I can fit, explorer rearend (3:73 limited slip), and drive the hell out of it...
What would you do???
I dont think theres any frame damage, or anything to really worry about, just cosmetics....

Are both the front wheels the same?
EDIT: Nevermind, those pics weren't up when I posted.
By the looks of it, it's either something to do with your core support and fenders, or maybe.... Well first let me ask, has the truck been in a wreck?
If it's been in a wreck, could it be possible that the whole cab shifted on the body mounts?
I don't know how much play the cab has, but all it would take is for the cab to be moved 1 1/4-1 1/2 in. to throw it off that much.
I do know that when I was putting my BL on, the bed of my truck had that much play.

Actually, the bed is misaligned with the cab an inch or so, but I don't remember in which direction... I remember that alot of rangers rolled of the assembly line like this, so I didnt think much of it... I didnt check on the cab mounts because I only had a few mins, but I ones for the front clip are beaten badly, and looked liked it has been moved. I dont know how much play there is either, but it would be cool it get it semi lined up...
It affect the way the truck drivers at all, so I dont think its the frame or suspension, I believe it has to do with the mounts/core support...
I'm taking it out to the shop sometime early next week, I'll get it on jack stands and see what I can do with it...
I was orginally planning on putting a mildly built 5.0, 5 speed, 8.8 rear, lowering it 3/4 and getting some nice 17" bullitt rims....
Now I think I'm going to leave the 2.3, 5 speed and probably go with the 8.8 and put some explorer rims and meaty tires on it.. I'll probably either rhino or line-x the bottom of it and go for the pre runner type look, but with the stock suspension...

Without actually seeing the truck that's the only thing I can think of.
BTW: If you do loosen the cab bolts and try to shift the cab, put some *** behind it, that thing is a ***** to move.

It may just be that the cab has shifted, like I said I don't know how much play there is with the cab, but it's worth a try.

My guess is it was hit on the drivers front corner and then fixed with junkyard parts. It looks like all of the grill/trim around the drivers headlight has been broken off, and it looks like the drivers side of the bumper is further in then the passenger side.

Correct.
But I might be able to align it better than what it is now.
I have about 450 bucks into the truck right now, so if I can align everything up a little better and drive it for a few years than I'll be pretty freakin happy...
It's not eating the tires are driving funny, so if I can get the body panels lined up and maybe replace the grill than I dont really care.
