Hi fellow ranger enthusiasts I am new here and looking for some answers and whether anyone else has had the same problem.

My traction control and ABS lights are coming on intermittently and then staying on while I drive.

1. where are both located (traction control sensor and ABS sensor?

2. How do I figure out which is the main problem?

What YEAR and model Ranger?

We had the small Rangers here, North America, 1983 to 2011

Europe could get both the smaller Rangers like ours or the T6 Rangers, which were larger

You most likely have 4 wheel ABS, so there is an ABS sensor on each wheel, if one of those sensor gets caked in mud or fails then ABS and Traction control lights will both come on, they both share these sensors
Depending on your year and model you can get ABS codes that will tell you which wheel sensor is the problem
As you may know engine/transmission codes start with "P" for power train
ABS or Traction control would be "C" codes for chassis, so you need an OBD code reader that can read "C" codes, not all can

On some models with a digital dash, you can sometimes call up "B"(body) and "C" codes on the display, these can scroll by pretty fast so have your phone handy and press record while display is showing the codes
