Vibration/Rattle starting at 60mph

2004 Ford Ranger 4.0 4x4. I just replaced the Ujoints on the rear driveshaft. Still vibrating. Earlier I had rotated the wheels to see if maybe one of the wheels were unbalanced and if the origin of the vibration would change and there was no change. (Let me know if my logic is sound.) other than that, I changed the rear diff fluid, transmission fluid is pink, oil is fine. I’m not sure what else to do so here I am! Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

The vibration sounds like it’s coming from the rear and generally it peaks when I let it coast after I get at speed and it’s the worst at 85-90mph. I also deem it to be non engine speed related as it happens between 1750-3000 rpm and I don’t hear it in any other gear besides 4th gear when at speed and in that RPM range. Another thing I should put out there is that I managed to get it to 60mph in second gear and I didn’t feel a vibration.

I’ve had this vibration since I purchased the truck in may of 2019 and it’s been my only lasting issue while driving this truck. Any ideas of what it could be would again be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your time! Let me know if any more information is needed.

Are you getting any misfire codes ? Also check your tie rod ends. Even though you had an alignment sometimes mechs get lazy. Could also be ball joints.

I appreciate the reply! Just did my tie rods in January after the ball popped out of the socket. Ill have to look at the other ball joints.

would a misfire like that stay in the codes after it pops or only be there when I’m driving? Check engine light is either burnt out or the previous owner took it out

It should. Take it to any autozone they’ll read the codes for you. What about your carrier bearing ? I’ve never heard of one going bad but if it was certainly would cause a drive train vibration.
