Yea, that makes sense since all those people were RIGHT THERE were it landed

What if the truck flew into someone/landed on someone because he lost control? I could give a crap less about his own well-being, but when you bring in the possibility of hurting someone else as a result of your sheer stupidity, then I have a problem with it. I nominate him for the next Darwin Award.
I as well but i did not see anyone in the path of his landing and obvously he knew he was gonna take a huge flight so the way must ahve been cleared. All that im saying is that you act like youve never done something stupid and especially in a truck.

If youve never done something stupid in your truck then make another reply stating so....

I think that was freakin cool! He could have been a little smarter and at least worn a helmet.

Pretty cool though if you're a redneck bum with a crappy truck and friends with video cameras/cell phones to call the ambulance.

Best quote that summarizes the whole situation:

"Pretty cool though if you're a redneck bum with a crappy truck and friends with video cameras/cell phones to call the ambulance."

Best new word I learned today:

"Totalization"

My personal opinion:

Good hangtime, really nailed that landing (ie. his head nailed the steering wheel)
Glad to see natural selection is alive and well in America

I've had my share in stupidity too, back in high school when I thought I was an invincible teenager. I've learned from it and have grown from it, but I still haven't ever done something as stupid as that, I would never put anyone else's well-being in danger.

No one's crying, just stating that it was an irresponsible, immature thing to do. Maybe you'll understand as you get a little older.

Odd that YOU should say something like this -- but then you are a hypocrite most of the time.

You throw in opinions with attitude ALL THE TIME, and yet when someone else gives theirs, you're all over them.

You're basically consistent, I'll say that. You think you can say whatever you want to, but when other people say the same kind of things, or with the same intensity, you're all over them.

Really, Gil, I wish you'd grow up. You are such an idiot sometimes for someone who's obviously so smart.

And the guy who jumped is an idiot also. He has the right to be if he was risking only himself. If he were a parent or whatever with responsibilities, then he is truly a selfish @sshole to put his whole family at risk of losing him.

That's it. Flame away, Gil -- as I know you like to defend being an idiot because of professional courtesy...

My thaughts:
1) Cool, that is awesome
2) the dumbs $hit should have had the proper PPE; at least a cage, a helment, and a neck brace; before pulling a stunt like that.
3)I wanna put his a$$ 6 feet under for pulling a stunt like that in a Ranger, or any Ford, he should have used a S-10, then the world would be gratefully rid of another running chevy, and wouldn't have to worry about the results of his not using the proper PPE the next time he's with his GF.
