Carr Light Bar

I noticed a company called CARR manufactures light bars for other ford models, I wonder if they could be moded to fit a ranger as i can not find one for the ranger anymore.

What does anyone else think?

I bet if you just cut down one side of the middle section it will fit. Try emailing them.

Why is the ranger so dammed by aftermarket parts. I would think there is a demand there are quite a few of us owners out there, I will call carr today.

Because there probably isn't a huge demand for them. Just remember, this little truck won't be around much longer anyway. It's days are up.

I like the company name. I keep thinking about getting a set of their steps.

I like the look of these. I am thinking of putting a basket on my topper, If I were to ad lights to the basket would they just hit the roof of my cab since they would be further back or would it not make a difference?

I will check the carr one out.

I maybe looking to run 8 lights total

130 watt each light, KC does not recomend the 150 they say they get to hot and dont last as long its why they pulled them from the site.

I want to do 4 long range on top and 2 fogs and two driving.

Exactly.. it sits just a tad too high I think for a proper setup.. It would work well if you mounted a type of L bracket for each light and carried it down another 2 inches.. woudl work perfect that way, and allow you to mount a reverse light on the backside as well.. hmm, depends, I may have to do that sometime.. But meh, Im going to be ordering up a headache rack fairly soon, so that wont be too bad =)

The reason it sits up a little higher (about 1-1.5") over a truck with the gutter system is just that, your truck doesn't have the gutter system. I know Zach Stone (redneckstone) and Bill Rebola (04lvl2) trucks the light bar didn't set up high at all. Maybe you installed the mount too high

I have a CARR on my Explorer and it does sit up in the air a bit(the Explorer is tall as it is). I have wheeled it in some fairly low hanging tree branches and haven't had any problems so far. Just go easy and be aware the lights are up there. Heres a pic of mine......

I used windshield urethane to hold the wire up in the channel and out of sight......
