I got curious and looked at Mazda's website. Looks as though no changes were done to the '06 B-series. Ford changed up the Ranger w/ new mirrors which you would think the Mazda would have new mirrors. Nope. Is this because the B-series needs more seperation from the Ranger?? Or is there no real need to change up the B-series??

Opinions please.

Maybe it is the last year of the B-series and they just wanted to use up all the older parts.

Also the mazda tends to have more rounded features. having the blocky mirrors of the '06 probbably wouldn't have looked good.

Mazda has put even less effort to update the 'B' series than Ford has with the Ranger, look at my '99 compared to the '06 model from the website not very much difference;

 

welll damn i have never looked at the bed on those and it does look good. guess i always look at the front air dam from the side when i see it (i'm not so much on that)

 

i think one of the reasons for the greater diffrence is because fords making the ranger into a minisuper duty... same front end and such

where as mazda doesnt have anyother trucks to go off of besides the ranger so theyre staying the same...

 

i got one, ill trade you beds, i like the more flat look that the ranger has.

 

The B-series bed looks dumb on a Ranger because it doesn't match the lines at all. The B-Series has front fenders that mimic the fender flares on the B-series bed.

The STX was a nice idea but terrible execution.
