Tips on Spray Paint?

Does anyone have any tips to make spray paint dry faster? Its been a few hours and its still tacky Would using a heat gun make a difference?

Also idk where this thread fits in so feel free to move it around Mods...

You could put a fan on it but patience is the most helpful thing when it comes to painting.

Lame. I have a fan on it now... I just want my dash back together already lol

Make sure the fan isn't on too high and blowing dust around. It will take a lot longer if you have to resand and repaint it. lol

I think it's rather enjoyable sitting around watching paint dry with a case or two of beer and a couple friends.
It seems to dry faster.

How many coats did you apply?

Spraying multiple LIGHT coats will work better than a couple heavy coats.

Right, you want the paint mist to cover it, not the heavy part of it.
I've made that mistake several times. just take a look at some spots of my Rollbar.

Its 2 coats of primer (which dried REALLY fast) and 3 coats of black (allowed each coat to dry first)...

low humidity, place it directly under a vent in your house on a ladder, slow moving cool air and relatively low humidity
