Post Well my Ranger is leaving me....

Well in a few short hours I will be heading off to the dealer and turning my truck in . The economy and gas prices have hit me I really like the truck but it was perfect time to do it. I didn't really want to do it but with my driving that I do the truck was just no longer practical. I am moving into a 2009 Ford Focus 4 door black SES, 5 speed manual, SYNC radio, all the options besides for leather interior, including the 6 disc cd changer and sub package. I will still check in on the site every now and then as I have some stuff to sell and need to sell to fund window tinting and some other items for the new car. So please don't flame me that much at least I am keeping it in the Ford Family. I will post some pictures tomorrow. I would like to thank all of the guys I have met and talked with here you all are great and have great information.

adios! but i'd take your brushguard and stuff, you usually get nothing for those when trading in. can make a few bucks selling them off...

Yeah they actually gave me more for the truck because of everything on it. All I really have to sell is a set of Alcoa wheels. Which are listed in classifieds.

Ouch, I know the feeling. I moved down from my F-150 to a ranger because the gas in my F-150 was killing me. My ranger burns less gas but is still not the most energy efficient vehicle. I am satisfied. I couldn't imagine living without a truck. Why don't you look at the 4 cylinder rangers?

ah that sucks Mike, that was a really good looking truck. But alas, the Focus is a great little car. What motor is in it? 2.0 Zetec?

I had a 2.0 Zetec 5 speed in a 95 Contour and that thing was seriously quick with some minor mods.

i know your pain, i'm going to buy a civic to run back a forth to work with.

it's a 1993 hatchback SI, it's a friends car, he's got it kind of riced up, but not all out, as far as appearances go, the only hint is the monsterous exhaust.

it has an AEM intake, a header and magnaflow catback, and a full MSD ignition.

otherwise it's got steel 14s w/ winter tires, NO stickers, no monster tach on the dash, and a few dents.

he wound up buying a del sol with the DOHC engine, that's a pretty quick car...

Thanks guys maybe I can stumble across a nice Bronco II or older ranger to work on as a project. But I just really needed something more practical for taking people places and fuel economy. I really do like this little car yes Mikey it does have the 2.0 in it. Great little motor backed up with a 5 speed manual. I kind of missed driving stick. Pics added to original post.

Enjoy the Focus, it'll only be a matter of time until you are wanting the Ranger back.
