New light bar... well new to me...

Ok, not exactly, but it has some serious potential, and Im a bit excited about it. I need to do some modification to it to make it the way I want it... but heres some pics.

I would appreciate feedback, positive or negative.

Also, its a $280 bar i picked up for $80 and the guy I bought it from has a shop, with over $200,000 worth of metal machining stuff, so theres some benefits to this deal... onto the pics:

PS: its not installed, its just sitting there...

Thats my new gate, I have DAYS invested into that thing already and its still not done...

I was wondering that... You need non-euro tail lights.

well the bottom brackets need to be modified to work with the cover. The idea here is to be able to use my cover with the bar. So THAT will have to be modified in order to work.

The plan is to add 4 KC's to the bar, and then 2 55 watt back up lights... I figure, when I am done with this, I will need a new alternator.

My tail lights grew on me. there not going anywhere. At first I wasnt too sure about them... but now, im so used to looking at them their staying. besides, i sold my OEM tails.

I think that will look pretty good man, and go for an alternator out of an explorer they are rated to 130A and bolt right in as far as I know

I ran a total of seven 130w lights on mine plus my train horns. Wire it right and you'll have no need for a new alt. If you fell you do go to a auto/boat electrical shop around you and have them work on it. I forget how it works but there is a kit to make your bigger.

as far as alternators go, I have decided against new tires and wheels. So, I am going to get the biggest alternator I can for it. Probably 190 amps or bigger.

I paid $80 for it. Not a bad deal, its like brand new. However the stickers and stuff will be gone. As fart as the mesh, I am on the fence.

But, another 'bonus' is that now I can get a rear sliding window.

before i moved to the f 150 and my ranger sat in the yard, i was seriously thinking of basically the same headache rack/light bar. I was also going to put some side spots on it which do come in handy

are those lights under your rear bumper water proof ? i need a set good for salt water for when i unload/load the boat at night

Looks awesome! Does it fit with the tonneau cover? Now you need to crank your T-bars

the lights under the bumper are the $15 55 watt lights you can get at Auto zone for $15. their sealed beam, and as far as I can tell they are water proof. They have been on there for years, and I have only burned out 1 light.

the only problem i see with that bar is the part that sits on the bed rail it looks like they need flipped around and welded back on so you can still use your cover go look at how shanes hook to the truck. I want mine to be like Shanes
