3906brad ran a carfax for me on it

The story of this 1999 FORD RANGER SUPER (1FTZR15VXXPB14886) according to our interpretation of the information reported to CARFAX:

Blue Arrow It has had no minor or moderate accidents reported to CARFAX.
Blue Arrow It has had no DMV-reported total loss events, like a major accident, fire or flood.
Blue Arrow It has not been reported by a DMV as having an Exceeds Mechanical Limits or Not Actual Mileage title.
Blue Arrow It has a consistent mileage history with no indication of an odometer rollback. The last odometer reading, reported on 01/11/2002, was 43,476 miles.
Blue Arrow It was not reported by a DMV as a Manufacturer Buyback or LEMON.
Blue Arrow Its basic warranty has expired. You may want to discuss an extended warranty with your dealer.

Aye, its over priced. Friend of mine just bought a 1999 4x4 ext cab for 6k with only 10k more miles.

EDIT-
Well, after looking again, its real clean and the ext has opening doors, my friends doesnt. It also has a tonneau. Maybe try and get him/them to 7k, no more than 7.5k.

It looks cleaner than my friends too, but his looked that clean in pics.

If you decide you are going to want to lift it, or w/e, i'd look for a 4.0.

If you aren't going to lift it or put larger tires on, i'd say go for it. It looks nice.

You guys are in Mich? Just drive up to Ontario and get a Ranger there. Exchange rate is good for you too. Check out the Toronto area.

http://www.trader.ca/search/default....goryid=2&CAT=2

i got my 02 truck at 46K KM - converted to miles is 28,500 for 11,000 CDN..which is roughly $9,400 USD

Thats if you don't mind KM on your spedometer...course you might have issues with taxes? I dunno...

I paid 10k last year for my 2000 4.0 4x4 in PA with 45717miles on the clock. I got a pretty good deal in my opinion considering private party blue book on it was 13,200 at the time. Itz still worth more than I paid for it and I have 57k miles on it now.

With the 3.0L , you get the 4R44e trans, which isn't as beefy as the 5r55e that comes with the 4.0L. And neither is very beefy. If you do buy it, change the trans fluid and filter right away. Matter of fact, give the tranny fluid the sniff test when you see it.
