What is this called of part number please!

Hi... My father in laws shifter is loose on his ranger and I'm trying very hard to locate this specific part but do not know what it is called. He is looking for this whole end thing that the shifter cable attaches / plugs into on the tranny.

Welcome to the forum

Loose column shifter on Ford Trucks is almost always an issue under the dash

Google: Ford Ranger loose column shifter

Lots of videos and articles will come up

As for the parts
The black plastic parts are part of the shift cable assembly not separate parts, looks like this: https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/..._AC_SY450_.jpg

Try this part number for the cable assembly: F77Z-7E395-LB

If the bracket is rusted out too much try this part number: F77Z-7B229-HA
