How is the body and drive train and the rest of the frame? If its solid, just fix the frame. I had an f150 cracked under the cab, welded it, lasted a while with no more cracking. Mine is rotted by the fuel tank and the back rail, Home Depot has the steel, when weather clears I am going to repair it.

The rest of the frame is solid, fixed a bunch of it earlier. Drive trains good, body has some bubbles, but I'm going to take care of those when I get a sunny weekend.

It's not in a very good place. I'm going to clean it up and when my brother gets back we're going to weld it up so it'll pass inspection at least. Then it's going to the woman.

Well maybe you can tell me what I did to my ranger today!! My wide open throttle Voltage on my Throttle Position Sensor is only around 4.45volts. Is that ok or does it need to be above or at least 4.5v?? Please Anybody!

Finally fixed my wipers

For several months I have had intermittent problems with the wipers on my 96 Ranger. Started out I sometimes had to bang at the switch to get the wipers to start - and sometimes had to do the same to shut them off, I took the wiper switch apart and cleaned the contacts - with little or no result. Then it got to the point I could only get them to start or stop by turning the right signal on, or ocaisionally by using the high beam flash mode.. I finally pulled the switch out - and after confirming I COULD get a replacement for about $160 if I screwed it up, I took the whole multi-function switch apart and found the purple wire from the wiper switch was broken at the plug-in terminal inside (at the MF switch) I took the terminal out, soldered it to the wire, and re-assembled and now it's working perfectly. 20 minutes of work beats $160 for sure!!!!

OEM switch is about $120.00, Standard\Echlin around $80.00. I had same issue went with an OEM Ford. Problem solved. I did open and clean the old one for a spare.

Depends how bad. Mine there is a hole before the rear hanger, also bottom of rail by the fuel tank. Fortunately Home Depot carries 3\16 steel the size I need. Some fabrication and welding mine is fixable.

Changed throttle sensor, both 02 sensors, after about 20 mins trying to get pass side out, I sacrificed a 1 inch socket and a wrench and made a special o2 sensor removal tool.

The Ranger got some new tunes tonight. I went with a period radio (2000-2001) since they're cheap, not likely to get stolen, and I liked Aiwa back in the day...

For being 20+ years old, it sounds very good... but the rear speakers in the standard cab are barely audible... and what sound they do make is not good... so I am REALLY tempted to put speakers under the bed of the truck and use the fader to play music outside while camping or working near the truck.

Replaced all exterior bulbs with ebay leds. Went with the super blue 55 watt headlight bulbs. I like them pretty well, but they need to be adjusted bad. The turn front signal / marker lights are super bright, can almost drive by them at night. Looking to some kind of fog lights too.

I received my workshop manuals, volumes 1 and 2 for 2010 Ranger, lots of information in there from my skimming, although a little disappointed there are no wiring diagrams.

Wrecked it... lightly.

Unfortunately while driving in an unfamiliar town I hit a lady's SUV... Cars stopped suddenly in front of me, because someone wanted to make a left, it was raining and I didn't think I had enough time to stop so I looked right, didn't see anybody, and changed lanes into her.

Insurance will take care of her and I just need to swap the already rusty door out. Sucks because it's my first at-fault accident ever.

Replaced radius arms, bushings, springs and shock mounts, used ATS shock mounts, work great, a few holes needed to be drilled, but fits.

Finally replaced the rear door latches on the truck, as well as the power ports and cracked radio bezel. Replaced the starter for a second time in 2 years, I was told soaking the brushes inside the starter with motor oil upon every oil change likely shortened the lifespan of it-fortunately didn't cost me a dime as it was under warranty and it's easy enough to replace. Also replaced the corroded ground battery cable. Next on my to-do list is get a camper shell for the bed, I've been weighing pros/cons about getting one for awhile now but since I rarely haul anything top heavy it'll be nice to have when I go camping or whatnot.

I had a great day.... Over the Memorial Day weekend I went to my local Pick-A-Part where I picked up a spare ignition module for my old Mustang (1966), and then got some good looking cruise control switches out of an Explorer Sport. While wandering around the Ford section looking for a Taurus SHO console (for the Mustang) I found one that looked like a decent Explorer console. Picked it up and molded into the ABS is "Ranger Supercab". It's also gray like my interior so hooray for me! With the 40% off sale I paid $12.48 for the console. I brought it home and yesterday took it all apart and cleaned out the spilled coffee and who knows what else. I put it all back together and now it's installed in my Ranger so Life Is Good.

Made a wrench set for under the seat to go with the big socket set that lives behind the seat... Home Depot "Husky" brand $20 set of medium and stubby wrenches, trimmed part of the cheap display caddy and zip-tied it to make a clamshell.

Sizes 8, 10, 11 (7/16), 12, 13 (1/2), 14, 15, 17, and 19 (3/4) plus stubby in 10, 12, 13, 14, and 15.
