Cut / trimmed, and installed brand new black carpet with an extra layer of automotive padding.

Gave a good sweat in this Texas heat, but very worth it, though.

I had the oil changed and used Mobil 1 again. Tires rotated, and my ASE certified mechanic spotted a problem with my steering system, he said that there was a stabilizer pin in the steering system that was broken and recommended replacing both of them on the front wheels, cost to replace the pins was about $150.

I knew something wasn't right in the front end and there was a random clunking sound I'd hear once in awhile. He said the pin could possibly puncture a tire and would cause a problem. So I had him fix it. He also said my front brake pads are getting thin, and need to be replaced. He wanted to replace rotors, pads, and a bunch of other stuff and ran the estimate up to $600, and I decided I need to shop around or just put a set of pads on myself.

Update: the clunking sound that was in my steering system is now gone.

Pulled out the stock Ford AM-FM radio and slipped in a JVC CD player/receiver. Oh, and I washed the truck.

Intake Kit

Today I put a new K&N Intake kit in my truck. Tool me a little more than an hour, would have been shorter but had trouble getting the alternator bolt loose to mount the kit.

I had new front brake pads put on and while he had it apart I had the mechanic re-pack the front wheel bearings with grease. It runs and handles like a new truck now. All ready for winter now.

Rear brakes, shoes, wheel cylinder, drums, new springs and parking brake cables.

Now the battery light is on. Time to haul the alternator to the Zone for testing.

Drove it for the first time in months, pulled up to a new FX4 F-150 at a light.... Yeah, I've been looking at them for months now and I had to pull up next to one at a light.. Karma telling me or taunting me... Will be ordering one for Christmas...

Worried about my truck not charging and blowing fuses...

Then fixed it at midnight, so technically this could go for two days...

I bet that was pretty sad seeing it all torn apart like that, everyone touching her in inappropriate places.
