actually i was at the dealership yesterday to get a service
and to get the pcm updated ( tsb out for it )

i was talking to my salesman and referred to him about the 2010 ranger being the last year of it

and he said that was funny because they just received the 2011 ranger model specs and dealer cost

and i said , you are kidding me right?????

 

He's right. 2011 is the last year for Rangers. They are just 2010s. But that will be the last model year. Just look up the Ranger assembly plant and u will get news storys about how it is staying open till next year.

 

Yeah its obviously a typo but I still got a chuckle. And it is too bad about the plant. There was a ford plant by my uncles house in jersey that got demolished a few years ago too. (BEFORE the recession)

 

I hope they dont stop making rangers why would they its the top selling compact truck

 

Hopefully to replace it with something better..

 

Okay just did some research and it looks like the ceo hinted on a new ranger design when he released the new explorer I dont care if they rename the ranger would rather they not but as long as they countinue to make a compact truck I will be happy

 

I wonder what it would be called.

I read something about the F100 name coming back.

 

If they replace the ranger with someting new, hopefully it won't be too far off.

And if they do replace it, I know if I got one id rebadge it as a ranger.
