The "Line of Fire" will not fit a stepside box. As far as I know there is nothing out there premade that will.

I LOVE mine, i got it used from 05rangerXLT and its still working great. I don't know how long hes had it tho. I have it plugged in to my trailer lights with the reverse light hardwired, but you can hardwire it into your taillights if you want. I think Wayne sells 2 versions, one for stepside and one for flareside.

Not exactly true:
http://www.stuffforyourranger.com/st...products_id=43

The only difference in function is the turn sinals are not centered. The left blinker will go about 2" past the center and the right turn signal will be about 2" short of center.

On the longevity, I do get some claims and I do see the occasional strip on the street that is half burned or a 4" section is not working. I can only say that everyone that has bought from that link has had the problem taken care of.

So you mount this and then what happens to the hole to remove your spare tire? Also, do you really want the blinkers to be off center by 2"?
Maybe it's just me, but I would rather have something that is centered. You can buy a couple of LED light strips that will do the same thing. No worries about how to get to your spare tire and it will be centered on the back of the truck. It may be a little more work to hook it up but in my opinion, it will look better and will be more functional.

I'm sure others feel the same way and others don't. It's a personal call on it. There's a vid that was made about a year ago showing the blinkers in action. I briefly searched the forum and didn't find it.

The spare tire is a non issue with the Line of Fire.

Don't need to remove the spare. The problem is that there is a hole in the body under the tailgate. This is whare you insert the tool to lower your spare tire when needed. If you cover it with the Line of Fire there is no way to crank down the spare tire.

or you can go to autozone get the duble sided tape and stick it to the lip of your tailgate like mine. it wil still clear the bumper no problem

Have had mine for almost a year and have never had problems with it falling off

Have a pic of the clearance for the access hole? (Had to be careful typing that one!)

Another option- you can cut a vee shaped notch out of the bar without interfering with its operation. Like this:

________________________
[__________/\______________]

It will be secured at two points on each side of the vee.

Third option is remove 4 small screws to move the light bar out of the way. The mounts attach with double tape, but the bar is attached to the mounts with the small screws. It'll add 2 minutes to a tire change.

i'm old school: i installed a three lamp tier light above the rear bumper just under the tailgate. kind of like those lights dually's have. --0-0-0-- they don't blink, but are a lot brighter than any line of fire.

I used to have the 3 cargo lights stuffed in there, then got a line of fire and it was definatley worth the money cuz I nightshaded my tails pretty dark so now I don't worry about people not seeing my turn signals

That looks good Mykhael. Now just for the issue of the length on a stepside.
