annguyen1981 02-11-2013 04:57 PM

Illegal to have any obstructions here in MA too. It just isn't enforced. Besides, I HATE having anything obstruct my view.

I dunno about the legalities but I agree with the added blindspot. The only thing I have on mind is a wristband from "the mounds" last summer. I see people all the time with necklasses or boas or other random shit and I think "your gonna run someone over cus you can't see them..."

Same with GPS' people put them right in the line of sight. It creates a huge blindspot. I put mine low on the dash so I don't take my eyes off the road.

I have a really thin black strap holding a small nail cross.
I have completely forgotten that it was there.

Duck call. Well, its a bull cow hooker call actually. Works great, driving through the city, we blow it at the corner workers.

Red_Ak_Ranger 02-14-2013 01:18 PM

I removed my rear view mirror because I couldn't stop getting lost in my eyes and rear-ending people.

patkelly1336 02-14-2013 02:53 PM

What do I hang from my rear-view mirrors? Nothing!
Here in Wisconsin it is against the law to have any object hanging or dangling from the rear view mirror which could obstruct the driver's view or vision...

I have a cross, an FSU air freshener, and an FSU smiley ball guy with a helmet on... All are small..

oldblue01 02-14-2013 06:05 PM

Only time there's something hanging off the rearview is when I park at school and need my parking pass.

+1

Rearview stem makes the perfect perch for the sunglasses, and no obstruction of vision.

I used to drive a big rig and rear view out of a sleeper cab through a center mounted mirror is non existent. Haven't driven a rig in years, but I still rely chiefly on the side mirror even in the Ranger.
