a little advice for me

ok im a noob so if im in the wrong area w this post just tell me. Im just cerious about what size lift i need to play on some mild rocks, also what is a good tire size, and engine mods for the 2.8 v6. btw its a 1984 long bed w/ a c5 tranny.

for mild rocks you can get away with a 3 inch body lift (there about 150 bucks and easy to install) and some 31's 32's, possibly 33's.. my 93 will fit 31's no problem with no lift..

thanks, i heard that body kits are bad... like they break body bolts.

Hundreds of people on this site and other Ranger sites have body lifts with zero issues. It's the cheapest and easiest way to fit a bigger tire.

proble is first gens fenders kill tire clearness i would bet you would need atleast 6" of lift for 33's if you have a D28 TTB front end upgrade to a D35

thanks for the advice. is there any ways to get a little more power from the 2.8? it is really sluggish. like the little tank that could lol. also what dose the snow plow option consist of?
right now i'm fixing the head liner and door panels, its now camouflage and grey interior in stead of tan . pics soon. hope there aint no law ageist it

is it normal for a first gen to have blocks in the rear from the factory? and my truck is an xls if that means any thing?

it is probably normal for the blocks... does your truck sit considerably higher in the back?
